Your data and your choices

What happens on UV Hub
The newsletter form and secure confirmation pages are active. New choices are reviewed and confirmed on this website before they are saved to Hostinger Reach. If the server configuration is unavailable, requests fail closed and no subscription is created. Public articles and site information can be discovered through search engines and the Weekly Issue RSS feed.
If you email Ugnius, your address and message are used to respond and handle your request. The basis is a legitimate interest in answering correspondence; a request to exercise a data right is handled to meet the applicable legal obligation. Keep sensitive information out of an initial email.
Newsletter subscriptions
Ugnius Valaitis is the data controller: the person responsible for deciding why and how subscription data is used.
- Your email address will be used to deliver the newsletters you select.
- Your independent Daily and Weekly preferences, confirmation time, a random intent identifier, form version and evidence of the choices shown to you will record what you agreed to. The consent record does not include the raw signed intent, your IP address or your browser user agent.
- Provider identifiers and the minimum delivery or suppression records needed to operate the service will connect your preferences with Hostinger Reach and honor opt-outs.
Newsletter delivery relies on your consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Neither choice is preselected. After submitting the form, you confirm the displayed address and choices on this page before they become active. This single-opt-in step records your choice but does not verify that you control the email address. Providing these details is optional; without them, UV Hub cannot deliver your chosen newsletter. Reading the website does not require subscribing.
You will be able to stop Daily, Weekly, or both through the links in each email, or by writing to news@uvhub.space. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. GDPR Articles 6 and 7 explain these rules.
Providers and international transfers
Hostinger is the website hosting and email provider. Hostinger Reach manages subscriptions and delivers newsletters. Their authorized service providers may also process data needed for those services. Hostinger’s Data Processing Addendum covers hosting, email and Reach and lists its subprocessors in Appendix 3.
Hostinger’s Privacy Policy describes possible processing outside the European Economic Area, depending on the service. Its DPA describes safeguards including EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. These published terms do not establish which countries or subprocessors will handle this site’s newsletter data.
UV Hub does not claim that all data stays in the EU. Contact news@uvhub.space to ask about the applicable safeguards.
How long data is kept
Correspondence is kept while a request is being handled and for any necessary follow-up, then deleted unless there is a specific legal reason to retain it. Subscription retention follows the purpose of each record:
- Signed on-site Subscription Requests expire after 15 minutes. The raw signed intent is not retained as consent evidence.
- Active subscription data will be kept while you remain subscribed.
- After withdrawal, only the minimum suppression information and consent evidence needed to respect the opt-out and demonstrate compliance will be retained. This limited recordkeeping will rely on applicable legal obligations and, where appropriate, a legitimate interest in honoring your choices and handling claims.
Retention will be reviewed annually, with records deleted when their purpose or required retention period ends.
Hosting, analytics and email measurement
Hostinger is the only analytics provider used in this version. Reach records operational delivery information and may measure email opens or link activity according to the service configuration; those settings remain under review before public promotion.
UV Hub has no advertising pixels, custom analytics events, reader accounts or comments. Subscription data will not be sold or used for advertising.
Your rights and where to complain
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Contact news@uvhub.space; enough information to verify your identity may be needed before a request can be fulfilled. Your Europe explains these rights.
You may complain to a data protection authority, including in the country where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. Lithuania’s authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate. Find its current contact details and other national authorities in the European Data Protection Board directory. You do not have to contact Ugnius first.
