Editorial Method

AI assistance, human responsibility

AI helps with discovery, organizing source material, drafting and editing. It can miss context or produce errors. Ugnius Valaitis reviews the material, makes the editorial decisions and owns the published result.

Each Weekly Issue is assembled from checked sources, validated against the required editorial structure, and published by the scheduled UV Hub workflow. An Issue Draft is unpublished. Automated checks stop publication when required sections, source evidence, canonical-page verification, or delivery safeguards fail; Ugnius remains responsible for the published result and can correct or withdraw it.

Start with the original source

Reporting favors primary sources: official announcements and documentation, research papers, original repositories, and statements from the people involved. Links sit next to the claims they support so you can examine the evidence in context.

An announcement is attributed to its maker. A benchmark result is described with its stated conditions and limitations. Interpretation is distinguished from a reported fact, and uncertain or early information is described as such. Useful secondary reporting can add context, but is not treated as independent confirmation of a primary claim by default.

Community Pulse offers a view of selected conversations, not a representative survey. Popularity, reposts and engagement do not establish that a claim is true.

A week with a clear scope

Each Weekly Issue displays its coverage dates and publication date. Six sections move from a concise Summary and plain-language news through practical tools, deeper developments, builder resources and Community Pulse. The aim is a useful selection of the week, not a complete record of every AI announcement.

Weekly Issues are the public archive. Daily Editions are email-only and are not republished here.

Corrections stay visible

To flag a possible error, email news@uvhub.space with the issue link, the claim and any supporting source. Ugnius checks the concern against the evidence.

A substantive correction includes a dated note on the affected issue explaining what changed. A materially misleading or harmful error may also require a correction email after review. Minor spelling or formatting fixes do not need an editorial correction note.

Images and their provenance

Media must be owned, generated, appropriately licensed or explicitly permitted. Its origin and permission or license are recorded alongside the editorial material. A source link alone is not permission to reuse an image.

AI-generated imagery is labeled when a reader could reasonably mistake it for documentary evidence, particularly photorealistic depictions of people, events or products. Clearly abstract or decorative artwork does not automatically need the same label. Captions identify relevant context, and meaningful images receive descriptive alternative text.

An illustration does not prove that a reported event occurred. Source checks and Publication Review apply to the story independently of its artwork.
